Taewoo Kim

Executive Director

Taewoo Kim is an Executive Director at Affirma Capital, based in Seoul. Taewoo has 18 years of experience in asset management and corporate finance. Prior to joining Affirma Capital, Taewoo participated significantly as a founding member of IGIS Investment Partners, where he was actively involved in the execution of numerous private equity and real-estate deals. Before joining IGIS Investment Partners, he worked as key person for NPL and special situation funds at IGIS Asset Management. Prior to joining IGIS Asset Management, he worked on the NPL, special situation, and distressed asset investment at PH&company, the Korean investment vehicle of Cyrus Capital, a U.S. hedge fund. Before joining PH&company, he handled numerous investments as a in fund manager at KB Asset Management and Eugene Asset Management. Additionally, in his first job at PwC, he conducted numerous M&A advisory and corporate finance tasks as a financial advisor.

He received a BA in business administration from Korea University and holds a Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA).
