Ram Gopalakrishnan

Director

Ram Gopalakrishnan is a Director at Affirma Capital and is based in Dubai. Ram is responsible for originating and managing private equity investments in MENA and for managing Affirma Capital’s co-investments and investor relations initiatives. Prior to joining Affirma Capital, Ram was a Director in Standard Chartered Private Equity, which he joined in 2009, and was based in Singapore, Lagos and Dubai.

Ram is the Co-CEO of the Standard Chartered's joint venture Asian Infrastructure Fund and is also a board observer at Fine Hygienic Holdings and Topaz Energy & Marine. Ram has worked on several private equity investments and exits including Malakoff Berhad, Meiya Power, Ramky Enviro Engineers, Copperbelt Energy Corporation and Travira Air.

Ram holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering (First Class Honours) degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) charterholder. Ram is a Permanent Resident of Singapore.
