Alok Elias

Associate

Alok Elias is an Associate at Affirma Capital and is based in Dubai as part of the Middle East and North Africa Team.

Prior to Affirma Capital, Alok was an Associate with Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) as part of the Middle East and North Africa Team. He joined SCPE in 2018.

Prior to joining SCPE, Alok spent 2 years as an Analyst at The Abraaj Group in Dubai, where he was a member of the Middle East and North Africa Private Equity team focusing on various sectors including TMT, consumer, oil and gas and logistics. He has worked on transactions which include Abraaj’s successful exit of MENA’s first regional unicorn, the ride-hailing app Careem, and on the USD 100 million exit of the leading Dubai based lifestyle app, The Entertainer.

Alok has an MSc. in Management from the University of London and a BA in Economics (Honors) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
