Rik Muilwijk

General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

Rik Muilwijk is Affirma Capital’s General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. He is based in Singapore.

Prior to Affirma Capital, Rik spent 10 years at Navis Capital Partners in Malaysia and Singapore, where he held the role of GC & CCO. Navis Capital is a private equity firm specializing in growth and buy-out transactions in the Asia Pacific region. Rik joined Navis Capital in 2007.

Prior to joining Navis Capital, Rik worked as a corporate finance lawyer for 8 years in Amsterdam and New York. He practiced at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Allen & Overy and Loyens & Loeff.

Rik holds an MS in Risk Management from NYU Stern School of Business, an MBA from Rotman School of Management in Toronto, an L.LM from King’s College London and a JD from the Free University of Amsterdam, completing his final year at the University of Paris I Sorbonne.
