Jun Xu

Jun Xu is an Executive Director at Affirma Capital. He is based in Shanghai.

Prior to Affirma Capital, Jun was Executive Director at SCPE, focused on Greater China private equity transactions. He has over 10 years of experience in private equity and M&A. Previously, Jun was a Vice President at Bain Capital Asia, where he led the execution of several successful transactions including buyout of a neurology hospital group in China, buyout of a leading chain of English training centers, growth capital investment in a global BPO, and PIPE investment in a financial service conglomerate. His extensive investment experience in structured equity includes a mezzanine investment in a leading clinics chain in Southern China, and acquisition of J.P. Morgan’s Special Situation Group’s debt + equity portfolio. Prior to Bain Capital, he was a manager at Bain & Co, where he led M&A diligence and corporate restructuring projects across various sectors.

Jun Xu is native Chinese. He received his M.B.A. from University of California Berkeley, and has work experience in China, Europe and US.
